*....or so the story goes. Once upon a time, Ryan suggested to Melissa that they start a 'blog'. To which Melissa said, "We are not blog people!" And so here we are. We are teaching ourselves photography, taking the camera everywhere with us. This little blog is meant to show off shots we are proud of, and to give you a glimpse into our adventures. Comments always welcome!

Full Moon Over A Corn Field.
«« prev | next »»

-shot by Ron
Dad snapped a great shot of the full moon over the countryside. I was quite inspired by the treatment he had given it in Picture It. I decided to replicate it, but in Photoshop so I could post it here.
...-p.s. I tried to get a shot of the lunar eclipse tonight but my crap-ass 55mm kit lens just couldn't quite make it. If you know of anybody that is getting rid of one of the el cheapo 70-300mm lenses....do drop me a line. thanx.

Exit to Nowhere

Exit to Nowhere performing at the Opera House a few weeks ago. Weather , a cold, and choosing a new hardwood floor has sort of kept us from doing any shooting. Hope to get back at it soon.

Canada Geese
«« prev | next »»

Geese on a soccer field in Whitby, just off of the 401.
And Neil did refer to a great poem. Just change corn field to soccer field:
"Us Canada geese held a meeting
in the middle of a corn field.
It's agreed; we leave in small vees
and meet up again in the real world.
Like middle-aged men smoke dope
and talk just to their cars.
We can talk just to ourselves
or we can talk just to the stars."

Friday Night Jams
«« prev | next »»

Busy night for music. Here we see Elliott Brood at the Dakota Tavern. This band is quickly becoming my favorite up and coming Toronto acts. And the Dakota is now second only to the Horseshoe for my favourite music venue in town.
Down below we see the New God of Thunder, Michael Paterson of Exit to Nowhere.
Quick and dirty port producing here folks. I am supposed to be in bed and gettign up early to leave for Montreal
