*....or so the story goes. Once upon a time, Ryan suggested to Melissa that they start a 'blog'. To which Melissa said, "We are not blog people!" And so here we are. We are teaching ourselves photography, taking the camera everywhere with us. This little blog is meant to show off shots we are proud of, and to give you a glimpse into our adventures. Comments always welcome!

Crab
«« prev | next »»

-shot by Silvio The Cuban Security Gaurd.
Funny little story about this one. Melissa and I were out on one of the docks taking some night shots. A security gaurd walked over to say hello and started asking us questions about the camera. Through some broken english, broken spanish and many hand gestures, he wanted us to follow him because there was a good shot of a crab. We followed him to the edge of the bushes. He wanted me to hand him the camera and he would climb over the fence to take the shot. I thought, "hmmmm handing my camera over to a random cuban guy to take into the bushes? I better go in with the camera." So in I went, and no matter what I did I just couldn't spot it. So, finally, I handed our camera to the guy and said "Here you do it." This is the first shot he took. Muchos Gracias Silvio.

Well, we're back. Sorry for the delay in posting. Sorta gotta get back on track here. This is a shot from our trip to Cayo Coco, Cuba.
We have a boat load of pics to sort through. Once we get through them we will post a bunch on flickr for you. In the meantime, we will post some here. But don't worry we won't bore you with a ga-zillion vacation photos. We'll mix it up a bit.

McBride Cycle...or what's left of it.
Even though I never bought anything there and only set foot inside once in the four years I lived in the neighbourhood, it was too much for McBride Cycle and they closed up for good a week after I moved to Mississauga. That was in September, and this past weekend I helped my old roommate move and discovered that the building is being torn down. Here's what's left of McBride, which had been in business for 97 years in Toronto.

A "Wii" Accident
«« prev | next »»

How many girls do you know that have a video game party for their birthday? Kendra did. Pretty cool. Here she is showing where I accidently whacked her with a Wii remote during tennis. Thanks for having us. More pics here .

-It is also Melissa's birthday today. I feel bad that I haven't got her anything yet. But I suppose the best gift I can give her tonight is being in bed before 6am.

Baby Clothes
«« prev | next »»

When Ryan's mom went to dig out her wedding dress, she had to get through 2 kids' worth of baby clothes. A lot of people we know have babies on the way. So, to them, we dedicate this picture of Ryan's baby clothes.

Yes folks, we've been hitting the Nyquil pretty hard. We are both bedridden with the flu. I am just posting this as I wait for my shift to sleep. We have developed this system of sleeping in shifts so we dont have to listen to the other moaning, coughing, hacking, yacking and all around fidgeting. Pretty ingenious eh?
